Transportation

Students attending St. Benedict the Moor School come from a variety of school districts.  Many districts provide bus transportation for the students.  Students living in the city of Pittsburgh living more than a mile and a half from the school are provided transportation by a school bus from the State of Pennsylvania.

St. Benedict the Moor does not have school-sponsored or parent-sponsored transportation.

Supportive Services

Title 1 support services are available on site for reading.  Students from grades 1-8 are given Title 1 reading support services through the recommendation of their teachers and test scores.

Additonal tutoring in math is provided for students through an after school math program.

Act 89 provides a speech therapist who works with designated students on a weekly basis.
As part of the special needs program, Act 89 allows students to be referred and assessed by a school psychologist.  The results will be used to help teachers create a growth plan to best meet the needs of the student and to assist parents in further helping to meet their child's needs.
