| Is there a Student Dress Code? Students in grades K-8 are required to wear uniforms. It is our belief that school uniforms support the Catholic philosophy of education and decreases student competition in regards to clothing. | What are your funding sources? One-fourth of the school budget comes from tuition. Parents also agree to participate in major fundraising projects or assume an additional fee to base tuition. We are also subsidized by the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, St. Benedict the Moor Parish, the Extra Mile Foundation and various scholarship programs. Back to Top

Yes, St. Benedict the Moor co-sponsors an after-school program from dismissal through 6:00 p.m. with Hill House, Centre YMCA, Grace Memorial Presbyterian Church, and Heavenly Care DayCare and Educational Center. | Where will my child complete their education after 8th grade? Your child can continue their education at a Diocesan high school in the surrounding area such as Bishop Canevin, Central Catholic, North Catholic and Oakland Catholic. Scholarships may be available through the Crossroads Foundation. Back to Top

| What are your enrollment procedures? In the fall, perspective families call the school and are placed on a waiting list. Beginning in February, Kindergarten families from the waiting list are notified and they begin the registration and screening process. Re-registration of current students along with new students in grades 1-8 begins in March and continues until all spaces are filled. Back to Top
