Curriculum & Methods

St. Benedict the Moor School adheres to the curriculum guidelines established by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and National Standards.  All efforts are made to include contributions of African Americans in all subject areas.

The school uses a variety of assessment techniques.  In April, students take the Terra Nova standardized test.  Other assessment techniques include:  chapter and unit tests, projects, performance assessment, informal assessment, presentations, hands-on experiments, and group work.  Accomodations are made for students with special needs.
